In a boost to Dundalk FC's immediate and long-term projects, both full-back Sean Hoare and attacking midfield option Jamie McGrath have signed extensions to their respective Oriel Park contracts.
Undoubtedly not just two of Dundalk's most improved players but in the entire League of Ireland in general, the former St.Patrick's Athletic stars have taken the opportunities given to them by manager Stephen Kenny this season and become two of the first names on the "Lilywhites" team sheet.
Working with the talented duo on a daily basis is Longford Town legend, Vinny Perth who has committed his long-term future to the club, having already spent five-years working under Stephen Kenny.
While there are no exact details on the assistant managers new contract, it was announced by the club that Sean Hoare had committed until 2020 with McGrath agreeing terms for up to the end of the 2019 season.
In other League of Ireland news, it has been announced this afternoon that former Irish under-21 international, Owen Garvan has departed St.Pat's by mutual consent, while ex-Saint Chris Forrester has signed for Scottish Premier League side, Aberdeen.
