Premier Division preview - Round 13

You get the feeling this could be a pivotal weekend in the story that is the 2018 SSE Airtricity League Premier Division as Shamrock Rovers under-fire boss, Stephen Bradley faces into a game with struggling Limerick knowing anything other than a win could spell the end of his Tallaght tenure. Equally as compelling is the clash of two sides putting six match winning streaks on the line at Oriel Park as Dundalk FC host a resurgent Derry City. Speaking of resurgence, Bray Wanderers caretaker manager, Graham Kelly will be hoping his "Seagulls" can follow up the midweek win over Shamrock Rovers by claiming another three points, this time against a free-falling Waterford. Elsewhere, Bohemians host Cork City in the live game on Eir sport, while Sligo Rovers and St.Pat's will both fancy their chances of collecting three points when the former champions meet at the Showgrounds on Saturday.

First Division preview - Round 6

The big games in the First Division continue to come thick and fast as Drogheda United face an in-form UCD side at United Park, while Galway United make the long trip up to Ballybofey and head into a huge showdown against Ollie Horgan’s Finn Harps. Shelbourne look to continue their impressive early start to the season with a win over a lowly Athlone Town. Cobh Ramblers face Wexford FC, while Longford Town host a re-invigorated Cabinteely on Saturday night.

One the the headline acts of the 2018 First Division season takes place this coming Good Friday as Neale Fenn's Longford Town travel to title rivals, Galway United for a Western showdown. Elsewhere, last season's second and third face off as Cobh Ramblers host an in-form UCD, while there's important clashes between Wexford FC and Shelbourne and Cabinteely and Drogheda United, while Finn Harps will be looking to bolster their goal difference ehen they travel to a pretty miserable Athlone Town.

With the televised game between Waterford FC and Shamrock Rovers taking centre stage at the RSC this weekend, there is a bottom of the table clash between Keith Long’s Bohemians and Dave Mackey’s Bray Wanderers side at Dalymount Park, while St. Patrick’s Athletic host Limerick FC and Ger Lyttle’s Sligo Rovers round off the weekend’s action with a home clash against Stephen Kenny’s Dundalk at the Showgrounds.

In what can only be described as another barnstorming weekend of top quality First Division action, Drogheda United will be looking to continue their scintillating start to life in the First Division with a clash against title-chasing Galway United, Shelbourne host Cobh Ramblers, Finn Harps welcome a wounded Wexford FC to Finn Park, while there is only the small matter of two local derbies making up the rest of the action as UCD host Cabinteely in the N11 Derby, while Longford Town will look to shake off their defeat against Shelbourne with a Midlands “El Clasico” win over Athlone Town.
